Biography

Eunsuk Kim is a Professor of Chemistry at Brown University, where he specializes in bioinorganic chemistry with a particular focus on redox signaling, bio-inspired catalysts, chalcogen atom transfer, and molecular informatics computing. He received his B.S. from Sangmyung University in 1994, followed by an M.S. from Korea University in 1996, and completed his Ph.D. at Johns Hopkins University in 2004 under the supervision of Professor Kenneth D. Karlin. His research explores the roles of iron-sulfur clusters in redox signaling and aims to develop novel molecular catalysts for energy and environmental applications. He is actively engaged in teaching a variety of courses ranging from equilibrium and structure to advanced inorganic chemistry and bioinorganic topics. His research has received funding from prestigious organizations such as the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health.
