Biography

Eva Bittner is a full professor and leader of the research group Information Systems, focusing on Socio-Technical Systems Design at the University of Hamburg since October 2015. Her research interests encompass Collaboration Engineering, Human-Machine Collaboration, Hybrid Intelligence, Knowledge Work, Knowledge Management, Innovation Management, and Co-Creation/Social Innovation. She is particularly focused on designing collaboration processes within knowledge-intensive work, utilizing modern information and communication technologies (ICT). Bittner has authored numerous publications in reputable journals, such as the Journal of Management Information Systems and Information & Management. Currently, she is involved in a BMBF-funded joint research project “HyMeKI”. She has coordinated several research projects and served as a speaker and member of the executive committee for workgroups related to Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) in Germany and as an Associate Editor for various academic conferences and journals. Bittner earned her PhD from the University of Kassel in February 2015, focusing her thesis on refining collaboration engineering.
