Dr. Eva Hausteiner

Biography

Eva Marlene Hausteiner is a Professor of Political Theory and History of Ideas at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg since October 2022. She has held several prestigious positions, including as a John F. Kennedy Memorial Fellow at the Center for European Studies at Harvard University, and has worked at various universities such as the University of Bonn and Humboldt-University of Berlin. Her research focuses on political theory, federalism, democracy theory, empires and imperialism, and political iconography. She actively publishes in various academic journals and has contributed significantly to the field with her books and articles. Her notable works include 'Greater than Rome: Redefinitions of British Imperiality, 1870-1914' and various edited volumes on political stability and theories. Additionally, she has served on editorial boards and as a representative for political science sections within professional associations. Furthermore, her practical experience includes being a member of committees and engaging in numerous international academic collaborations.
