Born in Sweden, Eva Solar-Kinderman studied piano in Prague and won the Czech Youth Music Competition in 1965. She holds advanced degrees from the Zurich Conservatory and Vienna State Academy of Music, where she graduated with distinction. Her concert career includes extensive tours in Canada, the USA, Europe, and Japan, and she has adjudicated music festivals in British Columbia, as well as given numerous masterclasses and workshops across Canada, the USA, and Central Europe. Ms. Solar-Kinderman was featured in a documentary about prominent Czech immigrants in British Columbia, which was broadcast on Czech national television. In November 2018, she was invited to participate in the Schubertiade in Potsdam alongside Sir Alfred Brendel and selected young international pianists and prominent singers.
