Evan Calabrese is a physician scientist focused on artificial intelligence (AI) applications in neurologic disease. His ongoing career goal is to combine clinical excellence in neuroradiology with cutting-edge AI research. His primary research interest lies in using innovative AI techniques to help extract clinically useful information from multimodal health data, particularly in the context of neuroimaging. Modern neuroimaging studies, especially multi-sequence MRI, represent some of the largest and most complex types of health data routinely acquired from patients with neurologic disorders. He believes that modern AI tools have enormous potential to extract new, clinically useful information from complex neuroimaging studies and the integration of various types of health data, ultimately improving the diagnosis, management, and treatment monitoring of patients with neurologic diseases.
