Dr. Evan Myers

Biography

Evan Robert Myers is a Walter L. Thomas Distinguished Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University. His research interests focus on the application of quantitative methods, particularly mathematical modeling and decision analysis, in women's health. He has been actively involved in integrating simulation modeling and systematic reviews to inform decisions surrounding prevention and control of cervical, ovarian, and breast cancers, as well as the management of postpartum depression and uterine fibroids. His recent work includes collaborations aimed at using decision analysis tools to guide clinical practices. In addition to his research, Dr. Myers serves as the course director for CRP 259, 'Decision Sciences in Clinical Research', at Duke's Clinical Research Training Program. He has held various academic appointments and has contributed significantly to the field through his involvement in research groups and policy institutes, further promoting the impact of research on clinical practice in women's health.
