Biography

Evangelia Kasselakis is an Associate Professor of Clinical Restorative Dentistry at Penn Dental Medicine. She received her dental degree from Aristoteleion University in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1977 and completed her residency in Oral Surgery at Evangelismos Hospital in Athens, Greece in 1981. Currently, she is involved in instructing at the GRD preclinical laboratory, teaching various courses including Fixed Prosthodontics and Operative Restorative Dentistry. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Dr. Kasselakis serves on the Infection Control Safety Committee at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and has been appointed as the Infection Control Officer at Penn Dental Medicine. Her professional experience is extensive, having worked as a Surgical Dentist in private practice and with national health insurance in Greece, as well as in various dental practices in Massachusetts and Athens. She also has roles in research within the Allergy Immunology Department at Children’s Hospital Philadelphia. Throughout her career, she has focused on ensuring high standards of dentistry and has contributed significantly to dental education and patient care.
