Biography

Evangelos Seretis is a Lecturer in Accounting at the University of Glasgow's Adam Smith Business School. He completed his undergraduate studies in Accounting and Finance at the University of Macedonia in 2014, and subsequently obtained a Master's degree in Banking and Finance from the International Hellenic University in 2016. In 2017, Evangelos joined the Adam Smith Business School to undertake a PhD focused on financial reporting disclosures of insurance firms. In parallel, he has worked as a graduate teaching assistant across various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Prior to his academic career, Evangelos practiced accountancy in insurance firms in Greece. His research interests lie within the School's Accounting research cluster, and he specializes in the effects of financial reporting practices and disclosures on capital market participants, as well as sustainability-related reporting concerning climate change.
