Biography

Evgeny Buchbinder graduated with a Bachelor's and a Master's degree from Tomsk State University in Russia and obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He has held various research positions at prestigious institutions including the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, and Imperial College London. In 2012, he joined the University of Western Australia (UWA) as an Associate Professor and Future Fellow and became a permanent staff member in 2016. He is a member of the School of Natural Science and has worked on significant projects in the fields of superstring theory and particle physics. Over the years, he has taught a variety of courses including Differential Geometry, Relativistic Electrodynamics, Advanced Mathematical Physics, and Advanced Quantum Mechanics, as well as previously teaching Quantum Mechanics and Nuclear Physics. His research focuses on Conformal Field Theory, Higher Spin Symmetry, and the AdS/CFT correspondence, contributing to the understanding of fundamental aspects of theoretical physics and cosmology.
