Biography

Evgeny Petrov is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the University of Zurich, specializing in analytical financial accounting and auditing. He focuses on topics such as voluntary disclosure, earnings management, and information spillovers. Dr. Petrov earned his Ph.D. in Finance from the Swiss Finance Institute at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in 2017. Before joining the University of Zurich, he worked as an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where he developed a robust research agenda and engaged in various teaching assignments.
