Dr. Evgeny Yakirevich

Biography

Evgeny Yakirevich is a Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University, where he also serves as a Staff Pathologist at Lifespan Academic Medical Center. He obtained his MD from Vitebsk State Medical University in Belarus and a Doctor of Science degree from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa. Dr. Yakirevich completed his residency in pathology at Brown University and is board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. He further specialized in gastrointestinal pathology through a fellowship at Brown University. Dr. Yakirevich’s research focuses on the relationships between molecular markers, mutations, RNA expression profiles, and protein markers in connection to clinical phenotypes and long-term outcomes in cancer. His notable scholarly work includes several publications in esteemed journals, addressing topics such as mucin-producing tumors of salivary glands and the expression of glucocorticoid receptors in renal cell neoplasms. Active in multiple professional associations, he has contributed significantly to the field of pathology through both research and clinical practice.
