Biography

Evi Germeni is a Reader in Health Economics and Health Technology Assessment at the University of Glasgow, leading the Incorporating Perspectives and Experiences (IPE) research program within the Health Economics Health Technology Assessment (HEHTA) group. With a BSc in Psychology, an MSc in Communication Media Studies, and a PhD in Health Communication, Evi has over fifteen years of experience conducting primary qualitative research and synthesizing qualitative evidence across various disease areas and contexts. Prior to joining Glasgow in 2017, she was a Swiss National Science Foundation Advanced Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Exeter Medical School and also held positions at the Institute of Communication and Health in Switzerland and the Department of Hygiene, Epidemiology, and Medical Statistics at Athens University Medical School. Evi has a keen interest in patient public involvement in research and serves as a Steering Committee Member and Co-Lead of the Qualitative Workstream for the National Institute for Health Research Methodology Incubator. Her research interests include personal experience with illness, health information seeking, decision making, acceptability of complex health technologies, and systematic reviews.
