Biography

Evren Özarslan is a Senior Associate Professor at Linköping University with a primary research interest in characterizing microstructure of complex media using magnetic resonance techniques. He obtained his master's degree in Biomedical Engineering and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Florida. Following his education, Dr. Özarslan conducted research in the Section on Tissue Biophysics and Biomimetics at the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH). He subsequently accepted a position in the Department of Radiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital and achieved the rank of Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School. Prior to his current role, he was a faculty member in the Department of Physics at Bogazici University before transitioning to the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Linköping University, where he became a docent in 2018.
