Dr. Ewa Wikström

Biography

Ewa Wikström is a Professor specializing in Health Governance whose research primarily focuses on topics related to governance, leadership, collaboration, and change management in both public and private healthcare sectors. Her scholarly work emphasizes enhancing organizational capability by addressing issues related to age, competence, and work environments in diverse workplace settings. She assumed the position of Professor in organization management at the University of Gothenburg in 2015. Prior to that, she served as a Professor of Public Health Management at the Nordic School of Public Health from 2012 to 2015. A notable member of the Faculty Board at the University of Gothenburg, she has participated in steering groups for various centers focused on research and education in risk use and aging health. Her current research projects include studies on designing living environments and investigating workplace alcohol prevention strategies, reflecting her commitment to addressing contemporary public health challenges. She has a strong record of leading research projects funded by Swedish research councils, contributing to the advancement of sustainable leadership practices and improving health outcomes through strategic collaboration and effective communication in healthcare settings.
