Biography

Eyad Bitar is a full-time Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Queen's University. He joined the department on December 1, 2023, and specializes in neonatal medicine. He completed Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine training and Targeted Neonatal Echocardiography Hemodynamics training at the University of Alberta. His research primarily emphasizes neonatal hemodynamics and the integration of multimodal assessment tools, such as point-of-care ultrasound and near-infrared spectroscopy, into clinical practice. In addition to his role in pediatrics, Dr. Bitar holds a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Alberta. Outside of his academic and clinical responsibilities, he has interests in sports, music, and technology, particularly in the exploration of artificial intelligence.
