Fabiana T. Almeida is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral Maxillofacial Radiology at the University of Alberta's Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. She completed her dental training in Brazil and specialized in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. Almeida's research interests include advanced imaging techniques, particularly ultrasound, MRI, and cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), aimed at diagnosing oral and systemic disorders and improving TMJ imaging practices. She has authored several publications focusing on the applications of artificial intelligence in imaging diagnostics, emphasizing her commitment to integrating innovative technologies in clinical practice and education.
