Hailed as a brilliant soloist and renowned for her extraordinary precision and luminosity, violinist Fabiola Kim is a dynamic and versatile artist enjoying a diverse career as a soloist, chamber musician, recording artist, and pedagogue. Her recent CD, titled '1939,' featuring the Munich Symphony conducted by Kevin John Edusei, has garnered international acclaim from prestigious outlets such as BBC Magazine, Strad Magazine, Gramophone, and the American Record Guide. Beginning her studies at age four, she made her concerto debut with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra and became the youngest competitor in history to win the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra's Concerto Competition. Ms. Kim has also triumphed in various prestigious competitions, including the Aspen Music Festival Violin Concerto Competition and the Juilliard Concerto Competition. She has collaborated with eminent conductors and performed with numerous orchestras across the globe. As a devoted pedagogue, she is an Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance and has previously taught at the Colburn School. Additionally, she co-founded the Sounding Point Academy and has served on the violin faculty at the Center Stage Strings Innsbrook Institute summer program. Ms. Kim holds an Artist Diploma from the Colburn School and Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the Juilliard School.
