Biography

Fadi Khasawneh is an Associate Professor and Department Head of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Texas A&M Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy. He previously served as the founding Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Texas at El Paso’s School of Pharmacy and has been a faculty member at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Western University of Health Sciences. Dr. Khasawneh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Jordan University of Science and Technology and a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. His teaching interests include pharmacology principles and drug action, where he has taught various pharmacy courses. His research focuses on thrombosis and platelet biology, aiming to identify signaling pathways involved in platelet activation and the pathogenesis of thrombotic diseases. His research is supported by multiple grants from NIH and the American Heart Association. He has held leadership roles in multiple professional organizations such as chair of the Division of Cardiovascular Pharmacology, American Society Pharmacology Experimental Therapeutics.
