Biography

Faisal Khan is a Professor and the Department Head of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University. He holds the Mike O'Connor Chair II and serves as the Director of the MKO Process Safety Center and the Ocean Energy Safety Institute. His academic background includes a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Pondicherry University, and a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Roorkee and Aligarh Muslim University, respectively. His research interests focus on offshore safety risk engineering, offshore asset integrity assessment and management, process modeling, and offshore environmental system modeling management. Khan is a recognized Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and the Engineering Institute of Canada, as well as the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering. He has received numerous awards, including the Society of Petroleum Engineers Health, Safety, Environment Award for the Canadian Region and the President's Award for Outstanding Graduate Student Supervision. He is also involved in various committees and has served as an expert advisor on environmental matters in Qatar.
