Biography

Faiz Ahmed teaches in the Department of History at Brown University. He specializes in the late Ottoman Empire and Afghanistan, exploring legal and constitutional history within the greater Persianate world. Ahmed's scholarly contributions encompass various prominent journals, and he has received fellowships for his research from Harvard Law School and Koç University, among others. He actively engages with academic communities and advises PhD students at Brown.
