Dr. Miao teaches seminars and physical practice courses, exploring scholarly research areas including dance performance studies, East Asian studies, and critical inquiries into globalization. Her in-progress monograph examines historical missteps in Sino-US cross-cultural dance transmissions from Reform-Era China (1978 to present).
