Faramarz Fekri holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Sharif University of Technology and a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech. After receiving his Ph.D. degree, he joined the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech as an assistant professor and later became the John Pippin Chair Professor and ECE-GTRI Fellow. He has also explored error correction codes and modern networking applications, developing frameworks for approximate computing and cryptographic systems. Prof. Fekri has served on editorial boards for several prestigious journals and held positions on technical program committees for IEEE Machine Learning conferences.
