Biography

Farhad Maleki is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Calgary. He completed his PhD in Computer Science at the University of Saskatchewan in 2019, where he developed methodologies for analyzing genomics and proteomics data. Following his doctoral studies, he undertook postdoctoral research at the Augmented Intelligence & Precision Health Laboratory (AIPHL) at McGill University, focusing on the application of machine learning in medical image analysis. During his time at McGill, Farhad served as the president of the Association of Postdoctoral Fellows and was actively involved with the Computer Science Graduate Council at the University of Saskatchewan. Currently, he is a member of the Machine Learning Education Sub-Committee of the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine and serves as a guest editor for journals focusing on medical data analysis. His research interests encompass various domains including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Computational Neuroscience, Biomedical Data Analysis, and Applied Machine Learning.
