Biography

Farnaz Amoozegar is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Neurology at the University of Calgary. She completed her undergraduate studies and medical training at the University of Calgary and underwent neurology residency at the University of Ottawa. Following her residency, she returned to Calgary to complete her subspecialty training in Headache and Facial Pain under Dr. Werner Becker. With a strong interest in clinical research, she completed a Master's Degree in Clinical Epidemiology. Currently, Dr. Amoozegar practices as a neurologist and headache subspecialist at the University of Calgary, where she is also affiliated with the Calgary Headache Assessment and Management Program. In addition to her clinical practice, she is heavily involved in clinical research, including investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored clinical trials, as well as cohort studies and registries. Dr. Amoozegar is dedicated to teaching fellows, residents, and medical students in various clinical settings.
