Farrokh Fazileh received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), Iran in 2003, followed by a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in 2005, where his research focused on the assessment of crack growth at bi-material interfaces using a cohesive crack model. Currently, he is an adjunct professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Ottawa and also lectures at Carleton University. Dr. Fazileh has authored or co-authored 52 research papers and technical reports and has been serving as a Senior Research Officer at the National Research Council Canada since 2018, focusing on seismic evaluation and upgrading guidelines.
