Dr. Farshid Moussavi

Biography

Farshid Moussavi is a Professor of Practice in Architecture at Harvard University Graduate School of Design and the principal of Farshid Moussavi Architecture (FMA). Her work is recognized for its openness and commitment to intellectual and cultural life through architecture. Moussavi frequently lectures at arts institutions and architecture schools worldwide and is a published author. Appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2018, she has received numerous accolades, including being elected a Royal Academician in 2015. Moussavi has taught at prestigious institutions, including UCLA, Columbia, and Princeton, and has played a significant role in contemporary architectural discourse. Her architectural practice has produced notable projects, such as the Museum of Contemporary Art in Cleveland, and she has co-authored award-winning designs for various international projects.
