Biography

Farzana Kapadia is a Professor of Epidemiology at the NYU School of Global Public Health and the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Kapadia has been dedicated to understanding the social structural drivers of HIV/STIs and sexual reproductive health outcomes affecting underserved and marginalized populations. She has extensive experience in designing, developing, and implementing observational studies and HIV/STI intervention prevention trials. Dr. Kapadia is passionate about teaching and mentoring, having taught core epidemiology courses to incoming MPH students, including Intermediate Epidemiology and Outbreak Epidemiology. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she serves as a Deputy Editor for the American Journal of Public Health.
