Generate a tailored SOP for Dr. Farzana Meru. Improve your application with a focused, well-structured draft.
Farzana Meru is an Associate Professor (Reader) and a Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Fellow at the University of Warwick, where she is part of the Astronomy & Astrophysics group. Her research primarily focuses on planet formation and evolution, particularly within protoplanetary discs. By employing a variety of numerical techniques and high-performance computing facilities, she runs hydrodynamical simulations to gain insights into how planets form and evolve in young protoplanetary discs. Her research interests include the dynamics of gas and dust in these discs, the interactions between discs and planets, and the processes that lead to the formation of solar systems, akin to that of our own. Meru is also involved in offering PhD projects for students interested in these areas, with a start date in October 2023.
Includes General, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Biomedical, and Manufacturing Engineering. Most programs fall under English Band A.
