Fatemeh Azhari is a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at Monash University with a focused research interest in Structural Engineering. She received her B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology, Iran, in 2010, and completed her M.Sc. in Structural Engineering in 2012. In 2018, she obtained her PhD in Structural Engineering from Monash University. Following her doctoral studies, Azhari worked as a Research Fellow at Monash University for 10 months and subsequently held a joint research fellowship at the University of Melbourne and the University of New South Wales for 2.5 years. Her current research primarily involves the development of multi-scale computational tools for advanced materials structures, incorporating concepts from integrated computational materials engineering (ICME). Azhari has been involved in various projects, including understanding crack initiation in titanium alloys and conducting preliminary finite element analysis for multiple materials. She is actively guiding PhD students and received several research prizes, including the Advancing Women’s Success Grant in 2023.
