Biography

Fatemeh Moradi is an Associate Professor in Human-Computer Interaction at Umeå University. She focuses on designing technologies to understand their impact on individuals and society. Fatemeh has been actively involved in research and teaching and played a key role in redesigning the Human-Computer Interaction UX Master's program from 2019 to 2020. Her research employs design thinking and future studies to drive change and develop sustainable digital solutions. She serves as an editor for the Journal of Digital Social Research and is a member of the steering group for Curiosum. Furthermore, Fatemeh organizes events such as career days and hackathons to encourage collaboration and build connections in educational programs. Since joining the Department of Informatics in 2015, she has taught multiple programs including Digital Media Production, Systems Science with a Design emphasis, Interaction Innovation, and Human-Computer Interaction UX, and has recently developed the Digital Management Innovation program. Fatemeh’s teaching emphasizes design thinking, feminist technoscience, and digital sustainability, with a commitment to engaging students actively in their learning.
