Dr. Fawaz Alenezi

Biography

Fawaz Alenezi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Duke University. He has extensive training in Cardiology, having completed multiple fellowships at Duke University, including Cardiac MRI, Cardiac CT, and Echocardiography. He also completed an internship and residency in Cardiology at Cairo University Hospital in Egypt. His research focuses on the impact of household air pollution on cardiac function, particularly in women in Kenya. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, including a notable study that investigated altered cardiac function related to air pollution. He is actively involved in clinical research and has received grants for studies on pulmonary hypertension and cardiac imaging. Alenezi continues to contribute to the field of cardiology through both research and education, shaping future healthcare professionals in his area of expertise.
