Biography

Fei-Fei Li is the inaugural Sequoia Capital Professor and the Co-Director of the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered AI. She has served as the Director of Stanford's AI Lab from 2013 to 2018. Before her academic positions, she was Vice President and Chief Scientist for AI/ML at Google Cloud. Currently, she is the Co-founder and CEO of World Labs, focusing on spatial intelligence and generative AI. Li received her B.A. in Physics from Princeton University in 1999 and her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology in 2005. She has published over 400 scientific articles and is widely recognized as a pioneer in modern AI. As an elected member of the National Academy of Engineering and the National Academy of Medicine, she has also received prestigious awards including the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering and the Intel Lifetime Achievements Award. Li actively works with policymakers to promote human-centered AI technologies and has notable public speaking engagements including TED conferences.
