Dr. Fei Chen

Biography

Fei Chen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology at Harvard University and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. His research focuses on developing novel technologies at the intersection of microscopy, genomics, synthetic biology, and bioinformatics. He aims to apply these tools to uncover the organizational principles governing neurodevelopment and the cellular mechanisms involved in neuronal injury and disease. Chen's work includes exploring complex mammalian tissues, developing genomic tools to address the lack of temporal spatial resolution in existing methods, and building frameworks that bridge single-cell genomics with spatially organized intact tissues to enable new discoveries in cellular dynamics and transcriptional modulation.
