Biography

Originally from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China, Dr. Fei Wang earned a Ph.D. in Educational Administration and Leadership from the OISE at the University of Toronto in 2011. His research interests encompass educational leadership, administration, social justice, diversity, and international comparative education. Wang's work involves a range of interconnected areas, including principals' strategic and subversive leadership, the administrative roles of educators in cross-cultural contexts, and the psychological safety and well-being of school leaders. He has worked with various educational organizations, including the British Columbia Principals’ and Vice-Principals’ Association and has successfully supervised graduate students in their research on these critical topics. Dr. Wang's research has received support from funding bodies such as the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and Mitacs-Accelerate, reflecting his commitment to advancing the field of educational leadership and policy studies. His current projects include investigating the experiences of Black school principals and culturally responsive leadership in Canada and China, among others. Wang has published extensively on topics related to school leadership and well-being, contributing to both academic literature and practical resources for educators.
