Fei Yuan received his B.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from Shandong University, Jinan, China, in 1985, and went on to earn M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in chemical and electrical engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada, in 1995 and 1999, respectively.
