Feisal Mohamed is a Professor of English at Yale University and the Director of Undergraduate Studies. His research and teaching focus primarily on seventeenth-century English literature, with particular emphasis on the works of John Milton. He is the author of 'Sovereignty: Seventeenth-Century England and the Making of the Modern Political Imaginary' (Oxford, 2020), which discusses the emergence of modern ideas of sovereign power in the writings of Thomas Hobbes, John Milton, and Andrew Marvell, and critiques the thought of Carl Schmitt.
