Dr. Felicia Iftene is an Associate Professor at Queen's University in the Department of Psychiatry. She earned her MD in 1984 and PhD in 1997 from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Iuliu Haţieganu, in Cluj Napoca, Romania. She joined Queen's University in 2008 after holding a Full Professor position in Cluj Napoca, where she was also the Head of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Her research interests include improving the social function and quality of life of patients with chronic mental conditions, particularly in therapy, depression, and psychosis. Dr. Iftene has authored or edited seven books and published 85 articles in peer-reviewed journals. She is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical school programs and serves on various departmental, faculty, and hospital committees, currently as President of the Medical Staff Association at Providence.
