Dr. Felicity Crawford

Biography

Felicity Crawford is a Clinical Associate Professor and Program Director for Education Equity & Social Justice at the Wheelock College of Education & Human Development at Boston University. With extensive experience as a preK-12 educator, she has worked in racially and culturally diverse classroom settings. Her research focuses on teacher ideology and the social context of urban special education, specifically addressing how to effectively transform the educational experiences of students from diverse racial, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds. Prior to her role at Boston University, Dr. Crawford served as a project coordinator at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, where she successfully recruited and supervised cohorts of master’s-level students pursuing dual licensure in special and general education. She has contributed significantly to the field through various publications and presentations, including collaborations that address bias in scientific communication and educational equity.
