Dr. Felipe Caro

Biography

Felipe Caro is a Professor of Decisions, Operations, and Technology Management at UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he also leads the new M.S. in Business Analytics program. He has held editorial positions with several prestigious journals, including Management Science and Production Operations Management, and has won multiple awards for his contributions to the field, particularly in supply chain management. His research focuses on decisions made under uncertainty, with practical applications in the fast-fashion industry, notably through a collaboration with the Spanish apparel giant Zara. His models have shown to increase sales significantly. Caro received his Ph.D. in Operations Management from MIT and has previously worked as an instructor at the University of Chile. His ongoing research projects include webrooming analysis and water reservoir management, and he teaches courses on Operations Technology Management and Global Supply Chain Management.
