Felipe completed his PhD in Materials Science, focusing on the formation of metal nanoparticles at SiO2/Si interfaces through ion implantation in 2010. He joined the Department of Electronic Materials Engineering (EME) at ANU as a post-doctoral fellow, where he worked on the synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles and the doping of semiconductors. His expertise includes Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Scanning TEM, and various sample preparation methods in physical sciences, as well as characterization techniques such as Rutherford Backscattering Spectrometry and Extended X-ray Absorption Fine Structure. In July 2015, he joined the Centre for Advanced Microscopy at ANU, where he specializes in physical sciences, furthering his research interests and contributions to the field.
