Biography

Dr. Félix Girard obtained his Doctorate in Dentistry from the University of Montreal in 2000, followed by a Master’s degree in Community Health from the School of Public Health at the University of Montreal in 2014. He is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Montreal where he teaches Cariology, Public Dental Health, Preventive and Community Dentistry. His research interests focus on Dentistry and Public Health, particularly in areas such as Dental Education, Dental Caries, Public Health Prevention and Interception, Oral Health Promotion, and Access to Health Care. Additionally, he has been involved in various research projects, including leading a study on the COVID-19 experience among Canadian Dental Schools and other significant studies aimed at improving oral health care access and integrating primary care within community settings, especially for rural and remote Aboriginal communities.
