Dr. Felix Lui

Biography

Felix Lui is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in trauma and surgical critical care. He obtained his medical degree from Brown University in 1999 and completed his residency in general surgery at Berkshire Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in trauma and surgical critical care at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, University of Maryland. He is currently an Associate Professor at Yale School of Medicine in the Department of Surgery. His clinical interests encompass a range of areas including emergency and elective general surgery, re-operative surgery, sepsis resuscitation, and shock management. His research pursuits focus on shock physiology, trauma resuscitation, pediatric trauma, and surgical infections, with an emphasis on advancing surgical education and addressing bioethical issues in medicine. As the director of the Surgery Clerkship Program, he plays a crucial role in educating medical students about surgical practices. Dr. Lui is actively involved in various professional organizations and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
