Biography

Felix Rizzuto is a Scientia Senior Lecturer and Moderna Australia Fellow at the School of Chemistry at UNSW Sydney. His research focuses on the development of new chemical tools and applications in DNA and RNA nanotechnologies, materials science, therapeutics delivery, biosensing, and nanorobotics. He completed his PhD in Chemistry at the University of Cambridge in 2018, where he also received the Outstanding Thesis Award in Materials Chemistry. Prior to his current position, he was awarded the Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship, conducting research at McGill University under the supervision of Professor Hanadi Sleiman. Rizzuto's work has led to several prestigious awards, including the Discovery Early Career Research Award (DECRA) and the NSW Young Tall Poppy Award. He aims to advance scientific understanding and develop innovative solutions through his research contributions.
