Biography

Fernando Alvarez is the Charles F. Gray Distinguished Service Professor in the Kenneth C. Griffin Department of Economics at the University of Chicago. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Minnesota in 1994. His research focuses on dynamic general equilibrium models, particularly in relation to asset pricing and search insurance.
