Fernando Guastaldi is an Assistant Professor of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He received his DDS degree from the Dental School of Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, Brazil, specializing in oral maxillofacial surgery. His research primarily focuses on the use of biomaterials—including titanium alloys, ceramics, and polymers—for bone tissue regeneration, specifically in jaw repair and in relation to the temporomandibular joint (TMJ).
