Fernando Isaza, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in General Surgery, Trauma, and Surgical Critical Care. He is board-certified in General Surgery and has a profound commitment to education and surgical innovation. His areas of interest encompass hernia surgery, gallbladder disease, minimally invasive surgery, and robotic-assisted surgery, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and reducing recovery times through advanced techniques. Dr. Isaza completed his medical education at Drexel University College of Medicine and underwent residency training in General Surgery at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He further pursued specialized fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care at Yale School of Medicine.
