Biography

Feyza G. Sahinyazan is an associate professor in the Technology Operations Management and Business Society departments at the Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser University. Her primary research focuses on humanitarian aid supply chains, particularly addressing long-term issues related to food and energy access. Her research includes collaborations with public sector actors, NGOs, and organizations like the UN's World Food Programme, UNHCR in Turkey, Montreal Children's Hospital, and Turkish Red Crescent, focusing on data-driven operations management problems. Prior to her current position, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Data Valorization (IVADO), a data science hub in HEC Montréal, after completing her Ph.D. in Operations Management at McGill University's Desautels Faculty of Management.
