Dr. Fidelindo Lim

Biography

Fidelindo Lim is a Clinical Associate Professor and Program Director of Nursing Education at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing. His teaching and scholarly interests encompass nursing education, LGBTQ+ health, reflective practice, men in nursing, and nursing humanities. Notably, he is recognized for his efforts in integrating inclusive health content into nursing curricula. Lim is a member of the American Nurses Association’s Center for Ethics and Human Rights Advisory Board and has been appointed to the ANA's Code of Ethics for Nurses 2025 Re’Vision National Expert Panel. His contributions as a 'Nurse Influencer' are featured in the ANA's American Nurse Journal. Lim has led groundbreaking studies, including a national investigation into faculty readiness to teach LGBTQ+ health in prelicensure nursing programs. With a robust publication record exceeding 250 works, topics range from active learning in nursing pedagogy to clinical practice and the legacy of Florence Nightingale. He has acted as a faculty advisor for student groups, enhancing extracurricular programming in nursing education. In recognition of his contributions, Lim has been honored with fellowships and awards, such as the Distinguished Teaching Award from NYU and the Nursing Education Award from the American Nurses Association.
