Biography

Fields Harrington is an artist and visiting critic at the Stuart Weitzman School of Design, University of Pennsylvania. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of North Texas and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Pennsylvania, where he also studied at the San Antonio Community College. His work covers a multidisciplinary approach, investigating the social and political dimensions of race, value, and complex histories within the context of contemporary science. Harrington has participated in the Whitney Independent Study Program and has presented solo exhibitions at prestigious venues including David Salkin Gallery, KAJE, and Y2K Group. Additionally, he has exhibited in group shows at MIT List Projects, Parsons School of Design, and Automat Gallery. He has been a researcher in residence at L.A.B. and has collaborated with the School of Poetic Computation during his research residency at Site Seen RAIR. In addition to his artistic practice, he has taught at various institutions such as Wagner College, Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts at The New School, Parsons School of Design, and Cooper Union.
