Biography

Filipa Matos Wunderlich is an Associate Professor in Urban Design at University College London and the Director of the interdisciplinary research program MRes IdUD - Interdisciplinary Urban Design. With a robust background that spans architecture, urban design, and performance arts, she engages in cross-disciplinary exploration of urban spaces. Filipa leads major research projects and coordinates the MSc Urban Design City Planning program at UCL. Previously, she served as a Research Associate and has extensive experience as a chartered practitioner in Architecture and Urban Design with KCAP Architects Planners in Rotterdam. Her academic journey includes a Doctor of Philosophy from University College London, a Bachelor of Music from ArtEZ Institute of the Arts, and a Diploma in Architecture from the University of Porto. Filipa is also a trained classical musician, reflecting her multifaceted interests.
